Dr. Orr is qualified to treat a variety of common dermatologic issues, including:
- Rashes
- Dermatitis
- Eczema
- Acne
- Warts
- Skin tags
- Moles
- Rosacea
- Impetigo
- Skin Cancer

What are some of the warning signs of skin cancer?
All forms of skin cancer are treatable, especially in their earliest forms. It’s important to make an appointment with Dr. Orr right away if you have any signs of skin cancer.
It might be helpful to remember your ABCDE’s when checking for warning signs of skin cancer. Your ABCDE’s stand for:
- Asymmetry: moles that aren’t equal on both sides
- Border: uneven edges
- Color: different shades of color
- Diameter: larger than a pencil eraser
- Evolving: changes in any spot or mole
Many cases of skin cancer have one or more of these characteristics in common. Any time you notice new moles or have lesions that itch, bleed, or don’t go away, you should bring it to Dr. Orr’s attention.
How do you treat skin conditions?
Most common skin conditions clear up with over-the-counter or prescription medication. You may need to take oral pills, use topical creams, or try a new skincare regimen to take care of your skin issue.
If Dr. Orr suspects contact dermatitis or skin allergies, he can help you identify your triggers so you can take steps to avoid them. He may also prescribe topical steroids to help ease your skin irritation in the meantime.
Antibiotics may be helpful for acne, impetigo, and skin infections, while hydrocortisone creams and antihistamines might offer relief for rashes from poison ivy or bug bites.
Dr. Orr may also coordinate referrals to dermatologists, aesthetic physicians, or other experts if he thinks you might benefit from more specialized care. If Dr. Orr finds a suspicious lump or mole, he may send you for a biopsy and further testing.
If you’d like Dr. Orr to take a look at a concerning skin issue, call Paul D. Orr, M.D., or make an appointment online.
